Sophie is an eighteen year old British music exchange student who moves in with a seemingly happy host family in upstate New York. The family dynamics are quickly challenged by the alien presence. The father of the family, a music teacher and cellist with a growing need of self realization, quickly grows an interest in Sophie. DRAKE DOREMUS is the 2011 Grand Jury Prize winner of the Sundance Film Festival with the movie LIKE CRAZY, which was loosely based on his own life. BREATHE IN is his fifth feature film.
