Teen life in post-Soviet Georgia

Eka and Natia are two fourteen year old girls in the heart of the Georgian capital Tbilisi. The year is 1992 and the aftermath of the downfall of The Soviet Union is felt everywhere in Georgian. There is a civil war going on in the provinces, violence in the streets, and in the midst of it all we find Eka and Natia - two teens attempting to make their way through the challenges of the teen years. While the country is seemingly falling to pieces around them, they live remarkably ordinary and relatable lives.
