Jennifer Brea is 28, working on her PhD at Harvard and happily in love, when she suddenly becomes bedridden with an inexplicably high fever, followed by severe pain and difficulty walking. After extensive tests Brea is diagnosed with ME – commonly known as chronic fatigue syndrome. Excluded from the real world, but with the ability to communicate via the Internet, Brea discovers that there are millions of people suffering a similar fate. UNREST tells the story of how she and four others cope with a disease modern medicine still doesn't take seriously.
Jennifer Brea (USA, 1982) UNREST is Brea's first feature length documentary.
