When the notorious serial killer Gabriel Engel is arrested in a spectacular police raid, it seems the case is finally closed. But instead it's just the beginning, as the small-town cop who arrives to interrogate him, hoping to extract a confession of a brutal murder he is investigating, finds his beliefs turned upside-down. Little by little, the inspector himself becomes a threat to those around him. Not since Hannibal Lecter faced off against poor Clarice has a battle of wits been so mesmerising - or so potentially lethal.
German Christian Alvart (b. 1974) worked as an editor, layout designer and writer in the fantasy and horror film magazine X-TRO, before he started making his own films in 1998. The thriller CURIOSITY & THE CAT (1999) was his first film, and his second film, ANTIBODIES, stays well within his genre of preference.
