Down in the Valley
Siblings Lonnie and Tobe live with their stepfather Wade at the end of the San Fernando Valley outside Los Angeles. Wade struggles to keep the family together and seems to lose touch with the rebellious teenager Tobe. One day on the way to the beach Tobe meets the young cowboy Harlan. It’s love at first sight, and the young cowboy seems too good to be true, until he meets Tobes stepfather Wade. DOWN IN THE VALLEY is a darkly compelling drama that charts the course of Harlans increasing malevolent and paranoid behaviour.
David Jacobson is a director and screen writer. DOWN IN THE VALLEY is his third film. He has previously written and directed DHAMER (2002) and CRIMINAL (1994).
