Many American and English companies have started moving their customer service and telemarketing to India, where English is spoken and wage rates are low. Ben Addelman & Samir Mallal
Ben Addelman graduated from Montreal’s Concordia University’s Communication Studies program in 2001. He subsequently trained as a cameraman with a Kosovo-based NGO and worked as an assistant editor/producer on a National Geographic series profiling Medecins Sans Frontieres. He previously co-directed the award-winning 2004 documentary DISCORDIA.
Samir Mallal graduated from Concordia University’s Communication Studies program in 2002. He went on to intern at the National Film Board of Canada, training in a range of film and media related skills. In 2004, he co-directed DISCORDIA, with Ben Addelman. Mallal is also a musician and an actor.
