As the bodyguard for a minister in the Argentinian government, Rubén is considered little more than part of the background. When important decisions are made and alarming developments handled, Rubén's the same deadpan shadow as always. The minister ridicules him in front of his rich friends, and when not even the hookers can make him feel anything, something's gotta give. EL CUSTODIO is a brilliant film, excellently portraying the numbness of the little in-betweens in life, where nothing ever happens.
