First we take Manhattan, then we fail miserably, then we go home

HOW TO LOSE FRIENDS & ALIENATE PEOPLE is based on Toby Young's autobiographic book by the same name. Comedian Simon Pegg plays Sidney Young, an up-and-coming British writer, who after having burned the majority of his bridges in his native England, attempts to conquer Manhattan's fashionable world of glossy magazines. After some intitial success, Young's complete lack of judgement and good taste becomes ever more apparent, to the point where the film actually becomes a handy how-to guide on ruining not only a career, but your entire life.
