Václav Havel is an internationally renowned author and playwright, but his main claim to fame is his role as the last president of Czechoslovakia and the first president of the Czech Republic. CITIZEN HAVEL is an intimate fly on the wall documentary. Directors Janek and Koutecký and their team were granted almost unlimited access to Havel, following him both privately and professionally – on stage and back stage. The result is an intimate portrait of one of Europe's most significant living politicians.
