Super High Me
Inspired by the success of Morgan Spurlock's SUPER SIZE ME (2004), stand-up comedian Doug Benson and director Michael Blieden decided to do for marihuana what Spurlock did for McDonald's. Using himself and his body as a laboratory, marihuana-enthusiast Benson shows us some of the effects that rigorous pot-smoking can have on the human mind and body. SUPER HIGH ME is not an attempt at serious journalism, rather it is a subjective and suprisingly nuanced look at one of the great American pastimes.
Michael Blieden studied film at the University of Michigan and has since gone on to work on such diverse projects as the Delta Airlines' In-Flight Entertainment News Program and Comedy Central's "The Daily Show". In 2003 he wrote the screenplay for the film MELVIN GOES TO DINNER which was directed by Bob Odenkirk. Blieden directed his first feature film, THE COMEDIANS OF COMEDY, in 2005. He has since directed music videos for artists like Fiona Apple and Kanye West.
