Et nytt liv
Between 1987 and 1990 several thousand Romanian children were vaccinated with contaminated needles by the Nicolae Ceausescu's communist regime. More than 15 000 of them have since been diagnosed with HIV. ET NYTT LIV tells the story of three such victims - Mirela, Irina and Paula, - who struggle with poverty, ostracizition and the prospects of a future without education or work. In Bergen, two businessmen turn their privat upheavals into something positive whe they start the Adina Foundation to help the Romanian children.
Lene Dreyer is a 37 year old journalist and reporter for the TV2 program "TV2 hjelper deg". Having studied eastern Europe at University, Dreyer has a glowing passion for this part of the world. ET NYTT LIV is her first feature length documentary.
