Tales from the Golden Age
TALES FROM THE GOLDEN AGE consists of five short films that all center arund the complicated and often absurd consequences of the Romanian communist regime's penchant for attempting to controle even the most minute details of lives of ordinary Romanians. Written by Christian Mungiu and directed by four Romanian directors in addition to Mungiu himself, TALES FROM THE GOLDEN AGE is a humoristic take on the Ceausescu-era and a cinematic Eastrern European gem.

Hanno Höfer is a Romanian director who has previously directed the short films INTERNATIONAL PHONE CALL (1998), DINCOLO (1999) and HUMANITARIAN AID (2002).
Razvan Marculscu is a Romanian editor and director. TALES FROM THE GOLDEN AGE is his first film.
Christian Mungiu is Romania's hottest directorial export. Having directed OCCIDENT (2002) and a segment in collective effort LOST AND FOUND (2005), Mungiu got his international breakthrough with the Palme d'Or-winning 4 MONTHS, 3 WEEKS AND 2 DAYS in 2007.
Constantin Popescu is a Romanian director and writer behind the short films APARTAMENTUL (2004) and CANTON (2004).
Ioana Uricaru is a Romanian editor and director, who has previously directed the short film THE SUN AND THE MOON (2008).
