The End of the Line
The fact that a documentary about overfishing can manage to become one of the most talked-about documentary films of the year, suggests that THE END OF THE LINE possesses qualities beyond its presentation of what will to many audiences be just yet another ecological worry. However, Rupert Murray's film manages to transcend the documentary genre with a sense of otherworldly imagery that gives audiences a stern reminder of what might be lost, if his pessimistic views are indeed correct.
Rupert Murray (1969) is s British director of documentary films who made his feature length debut with UNKNOWN WHITE MALE in 2005. In addition to THE END OF THE LINE, 2009 also sees the release of WILD ART: OLLY & SUZI, a documentary about an idiosyncratic pair of fine arts painters. THE END OF THE LINE is Murray's third feature lenght documentary.
