HONEYMOONS is set in contemporary Albania, Serbia, Italy and Hungary. We follow the fortunes of two young couples who leave their respective home countries in search of a better life in Western Europe. When the Albanian couple arrives in a southern Italian port, after all sorts of incidents, their problems begin in earnest. The same fate awaits the Serbian couple when they enter the European Union through the Hungarian border by train.

Goran Paskaljevic

Goran Paskaljevic is one of the greatest living Serbian directors, and has worked extensively in both feature films, documentary and television. He made his first feature film in 1976 with THE BEACH GUARD IN WINTER i 1976, and has since directed such films as SPECIAL THERAPY SPECIAL TREATMENT (1980), GUARDIAN ANGEL (1987), SOMEONE ELSE'S AMERICA (1995), A MIDWINTER NIGHT'S DREAM (2004), THE OPTIMISTS (2006) and DEVIL'S TOWN (2009).
