18 million young people in the US are bullied every year. This alarming documentary takes us into the disquieting day-to-day lives of five kids and their families during the course of a school year. Some victims commit suicide, others threaten the bullies with guns. THE BULLY PROJECT captures disturbing up-close footage of bullying in classrooms, playgrounds, cafeterias and school buses. Kids who are outcasts at school becomes the film's heroes with their courageous testimonies.

New Yorker Lee Hirsch’s debut feature documentary, AMANDLA! A REVOLUTION IN FOUR PART HARMONY (2002), on South African anti-apartheid struggle through music won the Audience and Freedom of Expression Awards at Sundance plus five Emmy nominations and a win. He’s made a series of music videos for artists like John Legend and Black Eyed Peas.
