Much Ado About Nothing
Joss Whedon earned his reputation for memorable and highly stylized dialogue as the creator of the popular tv-series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". It is only fitting, then, that he should take on the originator of it all, in this adaptation of William Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing". Whedon moves the story from 16th century Sicily to modern day California, but keeps almost all of the original text intact. This makes for an impressive and highly entertaining feat of dialogue, which illustrates the lasting appeal of Shakespeare's work.
JOSS WHEDON (born 1964) is probably best known for being the maker of the TV-series "Buffy the vampire slayer", but has also made a name for himself with the series "Angel" and "Firefly". Aside from being a director, he is also a writer, producer and comic book author.
