When a mother is struck in the head with a baseball bat by her own son, she realizes that this is not the kind of excitement she craves in her everyday life. Suburban life, although a modern one, does no longer satisfy her needs. She starts a new line of work leaving her wife and kids in the dark. She is forced to reflect over the important things in life, such as: what is more important – her new job, which brings happiness to her and so many others, or her wife and kids?
CONCUSSION is director Stacie Passon's first feature film. It premiered during this year's Sundance festival, and won the jury's Teddy Award during this year's Berlin International Film Festival. Passon has said the inspiration for her first film came when her own son had hit her in the head with a baseball. Before she started her work on CONCUSSION, she worked as a director and producer on commercials.
