My Fathers, My Mother and Me
Documentary film maker Paul-Julien Robert was born and raised in the Austrian commune of Friedrichshof. Friedrichshof was founded by the controversial artist Otto Muehl, and its philosophy was founded on free sex, communal property and rejection of the nuclear family. Using an impressive collection of archival footage and interviews with previous members of the now dissolved commune, Robert goes on a search for his biological father. As a result, he presents a fascinating and devastating portrait of a society which more than anything destroyed the future of its members.
MY FATHERS, MY MOTHER AND ME is director PAUL-JULIEN ROBERT's first film.
