This year's best Norwegian short films

2013 marks a record in the submitted short films at BIFF, and 14 of them will compete for the first prize. This year's short film jury consists of Agnete Haaland (artistic director, Den Nationale Scene), Lars Løge (producer), Ina Therese Lerner Grevstad (actor and director), Sigmund Elias Holm (Western Norway Film Commission) and Ole-Morten Algerøy (formerly responsible for short films at BIFF).

In a coastal town in Morocco the young boy Foad is dreaming about a better life. About poverty and boat refugees fate.

Anne leaves her safe carieer to become an assistant in The Child welfare. About somebody who wants to care of others and somebody who needs to be taken care of.

A child’s colourful view on the world challenges the adult life’s grey realities.
