Super Mushroom saves the day - one moldy loaf of bread at a time
The exquisitely photographed documentary SUPER FUNGI shows how mushrooms, fungi and mycelium can save the world. American scientists use the organisms to clean up soil filled with toxic waste, essentially curing it. Mycologists in Denmark cut and paste mushroom enzymes to create superhybrids which could be used as sustainable alternatives to plastic, and scientists at Oxford University study the fungal patterns by letting the mushrooms create their own network through England.
