Power and Impotence, a tragedy in three acts
POWER AND IMPOTENCE follows political developments after Fernando Lugo, "the bishop of the poor", won the presidential election in Paraguay after 61 years of dictatorship and mock-democracy. Structured as a classic drama in three acts, the documentary shows how Lugo's promises of change to better the lives of the people succumbed to the powerful opposition, biased media and increasing turbulence with the armed revolutionary group EPP.
