Land of Storms
After his team loses an important game, star player Szabi and one of his teammates get into an argument which turns violent. Leaving his German football career behind, Szabi returns to his native Hungary where he takes up residence in a dilapidated old farm house left to him by his grandfather. While fixing his leaking roof, he meets Aron, who quickly becomes more than a friend. Steeped in homoerotic tension and imagery, LAND OF STORMS is a remarkable directorial debut, and a drama whose ambitions and qualities reach way beyond the traditional world of gay cinema.
