The Quiet Roar
Marianne is an aging woman who has been diagnosed with a terminal disease. Terrified in the face of her inescapable mortality, she commits to experimental treatment at a German clinic in order to get closure. The treatment seeks to transfer the patient to her own subconscious, in order to confront contentious elements of her past. Psychedelic in a very quiet and decidedly Scandinavian way, THE QUIET ROAR is the follow-up to the critically acclaimed BURROWING (2009).
Meet director Henrik Hellström at all screenings during the festival.
