I STOP TIME tells the beautiful and brutal story of the Russian film photographer Vladislav Mikosha (1909-2004), who experienced the huge contrasts of WWII. When the Germans invaded the Soviet Union in 1941, Mikosha was sent to the front where he documented the brutality of war on both sides. Two years later a battleship landed him in glamorous Hollywood, where he was surrounded by stars such as Ingrid Bergman and Charlie Chaplin. Hollywood treated him like a hero, but Mikosha soon returned home to fight. Gunilla Bresky's I STOP TIME is a touching and unique view of WWII from a Soviet perspective.
Gunilla Bresky (Sweden) I STOP TIME is her debut as a director of feature-length documentary
