Land of Promise
Immigration is the cause of massive societal challenges. Both the newcomers as well as the original inhabitants have to come to terms with the fact that the world as they know it is changing. It almost goes without saying that this is a process that generates considerable conflict, often over stretches of time. In LAND OF PROMISE Dutch filmmakers Paul Scheffer and René Roelofs look beyond the question of guilt in favour of searching for answers to the fundamental question: How can we live together in spite of our differences?
