Bridging the gap

This documentary celebrates the interracial and multigenerational musical legacy of Memphis, Tennessee. The film brings multiple generations of award-winning Memphis and Mississippi Delta musicians together, and follows them through the process of recording a historic new album. The record is an attempt to re-imagine the utopia of racial, gender and generational collaboration that was the calling card of the Memphis music scene in its heyday. Taking its name from the classic Al Green song, TAKE ME TO THE RIVER is sure to please any music fan.
