Author, designer and musician Alexander "Sascha" Anderson was one of the most prominent figures on the East-Berlin underground art scene in the 80's, enjoying a status comparable to that of a pop star. He was also an informant for East Germany's infamous secret police, the Stasi, and his secret was not revealed until after the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Annekatrin Hendel's documentary gives Anderson's former friends and colleagues ample opportunity to present their contempt and bafflement, while at the same time letting the man himself talk at length about his actions and motivations. Those expecting remorse or apologies will, however, be disappointed.
