Medical student Iddrisu is living a comfortable life in the city when a telephone from his sister turns his existence upside down. Their father has passed away and as the eldest son it is Iddrisu's duty to bury his father and settle his affairs. After a long bus ride home he quickly learns that things are not as they used to be, and a quick return to his studies seems more and more unlikely. Following in the footsteps of several strands of European cinematic realism while remaining distinctly African, NAKOM is a beautiful slice of life tale from the Ghanaian countryside.
