We need to talk about Olga

On July 10th, 1973 Olga Hepnarová drove a truck into a crowd at a bus stop, killing eight people. The 22-year-old woman had grown up a victim of bullying and sexual abuse and in a letter sent to two newspapers prior to the mass murder, she explained the hatred that she felt directed towards her from all angles. Hepnarová felt she had only two choices – to take her own life or to kill others. Shot against a backdrop of bleak communist Czechoslovakia, I, OLGA HEPNAROVÁ depicts her short and tragic life without sentimentality.
