The devil is in the details

In JHERONIMUS BOSCH, TOUCHED BY THE DEVIL we get to tag along with a team of art historians as they travel the world to authenticate the works of the great Dutch painter Hieronymus Bosch (1450–1516) on the occasion of a big retrospective exhibition of his work at the Noordbrabants Museum. Bosch is famous for his fantastic and almost surreal depictions of heaven and hell, and through the course of this documentary we quite literally get to look beneath the surface of his paintings. The result is a fascinating glimpse into the inner circles of the art world and a remarkably entertaining history lesson.
