WATSON is a portrait of Canadian-American activist Paul Watson and his decades-long fight to protect oceanic wildlife. Infamous for his controversial and violent tactics, Watson is viewed as persona non grata not only by the governments of whaling nations such as Norway and Japan, but also by Greenpeace – an organization he helped found. In this engaging documentary, Lesley Chilcott blends candid interviews, stunning underwater footage and a treasure trove of action-filled archive material to create a fascinating portrait of a man with an unshakable faith in his own convictions.
