KineDok is a new kind of international community, a unique film club and an alternative distribution platform, connecting both the fans and makers of creative documentary.
In its third edition, 16 thought-provoking East and Central European documentaries are screened at more than 180 non-traditional venues in the participating countries: Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Norway, Poland, Romania and Slovakia.
KineDok aims to expand and take care of a community of viewers and fans of documentary film and get creative documentary film to the attention of a wider public through screenings and discussions at non-traditional places. Eight European countries cooperate on the third edition of KineDok: Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Norway, Poland, Romania and Slovakia. The online catalogue of the project offers 16 East and Central European documentaries that are screened at more than 25 venues in each country.
The screenings in Norway are in Bergen and are organized in a collaboration between the Bergen International Film Festival and local venues. In 2016 we screened films at Victoria Café & Pub, Chillout Travel Centre and Nobel Bopel during the festival. The screenings in 2017 will take place at venues in Bergen in August and September, and will be announced on our website and on Facebook. Stay tuned!
