Do we need injectionrooms? Can drug addiction be equated with alcoholism? Can we finally get marijuana legalized?
This is some of the questions we want the experts to answer. We have invited Bergen’s Vice Mayor for Social Services and Drug Abuse Counselling Dag Inge Ulstein and the staff of Helse Bergen to a debate about the possible constructive solutions for this sensitive topic.
The Norwegian movie MAGNUS – EN VÅRDAG (MAGNUS – A SPRING DAY) won the Amanda for best short film. Magnus Lilleberg will come to Bergen to talk about his life as a heroin addict. Garry Fraser – who made EVERYBODY’S CHILD – will join him by sharing his experiences as a drug addict in the suburbs of Edinburgh, one of Europe’s roughest. In his movie we see the story of how filmmaking was used as a way out of addiction.
