Cornelia is celebrating her birthday with Bucharest’s privileged bourgeois elite when she recieves the news that her son Barbu has accidentally hit a young boy with his car and has been brought in by the police. Wasting little time, Cornelia is soon on top of the situation, and goes to great lengths to get her son acquitted of the charges.
CHILD’S POSE is a masterly character study of a mother desperately trying to glue her family back together, as well as a a scathing critique of the class divided society that is modern day Romania.
