Feminism in the nude

In the absence of any real feminist discourse, a feminist protest group sprung up in Ukraine in 2008. Today Femen is both a tabloid favourite and a rising movement in Ukraine and abroad. By protesting bare-breasted against sexual exploitation of women, dictatorship and religion, they are making waves both in the media and society at large. UKRAINE IS NOT A BROTHEL gives a glimpse into this chaotic grassroot movement's rise to fame, and their struggles of discovering who are they are and what they want to be.

Meet director Kitty Green at the screenings September 27, September 28 and September 29.

Sunday September 28th, 19.00 at Chagall there will be a talk with director Kitty Green.
