Silvered Water, Syria Self-Portrait
The ongoing bloody civil war in Syria is frequently exposed on the video sharing site YouTube. Amongst those who trawl the net for footage from the war is the exiled director Ossama Mohammed. One late winter night Mohammed receives a Facebook message from a young Kurdish activist taking cover from aerial bombardment: "If you were here, in Homs, what would you be filming?". SILVERED WATER, SYRIA SELF-PORTRAIT is a remarkable collaboration between a director and an activist, which depicts a people strongly motivated for a freer tomorrow.
