Blind Rena's greatest wish is not to be able to see, but to be seen

Can anyone who has never experienced a life of blindness truly understand what the world looks like to a blind person? I SEE YOU is an attempt to create a better understanding of what life is like for the blind. The film is focused around Rena, a young blind girl, as she journeys from her teens into adulthood. Making her way in a world that is increasingly reliant on visual language is not easy for a person who has no concept of such things, and in Sylvelin Måkestad's documentary we get to witness the prejudices and challenges Rena meets on a daily basis.

Meet director Sylvelin Måkestad at both screenings during the festival.
