Rediscovered film treasures from Afghanistan's forgotten past

In Kabul, the employees of Afghan Films are hard at work sorting through and restoring cans of film that date back almost a hundred years. And in a country where the Taliban tried to destroy this valuble part of Afghan culture this is by no means an easy task. Luckily some of Afghan Films' employees were brave enough to hide away what they could salvage from the Taliban, and it is thanks to these brave individuals that we get to experience this moving documentary about the role moving images can play in both shaping and rediscovering cultural identity.
