By the year 2050 there will be over 9 billion people on the earth, and the UN estimates that food production must increase by 70% in order to feed everyone. As a result, the UN recommends edible insects as an important resource in combatting world hunger. Chefs celebrate the flavor, environmentalists the low ecological impact and health researchers the nutritional content but in the West, bugs are still a hard sell. In this documentary we follow two renowned chefs as they travel the world in search of insect delicacies and sustainable food traditions.
