A woman’s place is in the kitchen

Although the kitchen has traditionally been regarded as a female domain, the culinary arts are dominated by men. And whereas loudmouthed male chefs are often looked upon as passionate, their female counterparts are all too often labeled as “difficult”. THE HEAT: A (K)ITCHEN REVOLUTION tackles the ingrained misogyny of the restaurant world at a point in time where the tide seems to be turning. Through interviews with world-renowned chefs like Anne-Sophie Pic, Amanda Cohen and Anita Lo, we get a glimpse of the challenges women face in the restaurant world.
