As a young woman, Katja Fedulova wanted to save Russia. Instead, she ended up leaving her homeland at the age of 18. In her feature documentary debut, she returns to the motherland to see who the new female heroes of the new Russia are. She meets Olga, a politician who fights against corruption; former beauty queen Anastasia, who is a vocal supporter of the Russian military and Christian zealot Natalia, who wants to ban abortion. FAITH, HOPE, LOVE is an absurd, insightful and highly ambivalent portrait of a country filled with contradictions.
