19-year-old Mirjam is a world champion disco and freestyle dancer and a devout Christian. When a panic attack unleashes a torrent of repressed childhood memories, however, she is left unable to dance and unable to accept the teachings of the church she was raised in. Deeply disillusioned, she looks to a fundamentalist congregation for answers. Making her big screen debut, “Skam” actress Josefine Frida delivers a gripping performance in Jorunn Myklebust Syversen’s stylish and refreshing drama about faith, doubt and dance.
Festival guests: Director Jorunn Myklebust Syversen, producer Maria Ekerhovd, actresses Josefine Frida, Kjærsti Skjeldal Odden, Andrea Bræin Hovig.
