STUFFED takes us on a tour of the wonderful world of taxidermy, introducing us to a number of craftspeople who approach the art of stuffing animals from different points of view. Travis studies animals in the wild in order to capture their movements, Ferry and Jaap find inspiration in 17th century paintings, and Allis runs the glamorous Prey Taxidermy in Los Angeles. We are also treated to a crash course in the history of taxidermy and the new phenomenon of “rogue taxidermy”. This is a singularly fascinating film about a topic few of us realized we wanted to know more about.
STUFFED will also be screened in the University Aula on Tuesday 01 October at 12:00. Read more about the programme in the University Aula // Book tickets to screenings in the University Aula
