Hard-working family father Milan returns home to his family in Slovakia in time for Christmas. The celebrations are interrupted when a classmate of his son Adam is bullied to death, and the paramilitary youth group Adam is a member of gets blamed. Confronted by these harrowing circumstances, Milan must confront his own deep-seated xenophobia. LET THERE BE LIGHT is a highly topical drama from modern-day Europe about a man trying to do the right thing in a terrible situation which he himself is partly to blame for.
