ABOUT ENDLESSNESS is a film about people struggling with life’s big questions. A priest has lost his faith in God, a couple have lost a child, a young man is waiting for his first love, a man has had his legs blown off by a mine – and then there’s Hitler. More than anything, however, this is a Roy Andersson film – which means a series of painterly, minutely detailed tableaus filled with ghost-like characters acting out the human condition as a tragicomic, philosophical and cinematically seductive drama.
