In this disturbing documentary about Pakistan’s strict blasphemy laws, we are thrust into the political campaign of Khadim Hussain Rizvi, a religious zealot aiming to become prime minister. We also meet Asia Bibi, a Christian woman sentenced to death for blasphemy, and human rights activist Gulalai Ismail, who lives under constant threat because of her work. Using his unique access to Pakistani political life to great effect, Mohammed Naqvi crafts a frightening film about religious fundamentalism and political populism.
