We hear a lot about the challenges of growing up today but rarely do we get to hear from the youth themselves without their experiences being filtered through the besserwisser hindsight of adults. UTEN FILTER is the result of seven Norwegian teens and one rock band documenting their lives for one year. This is an earnest and unvarnished film about dreams, ambitions, friendship, loneliness, love, insecurity, identity and all the other ordinary and watershed moments that define the teenage years – as filmed by the teens themselves.
