Clean campaigning in dirty politics

Kenyan political activist Boniface «Softie» Mwangi decides to run for political office in his region in order to fight corruption and contribute to real social change. To his wife Njeri’s dismay, he places the country and his political goals before his family. By showing the glowing optimism as well as the personal cost of trying to run a clean campaign in murky political waters, SOFTIE is a charming, nuanced portrait of an idealistic politician that questions the cost of affecting real social change.
