Brunhilde Pomsel survived two world wars and describes herself as a side-line figure who's not interested in politics. Nevertheless, she worked closely with one of the worst war criminals in history, serving as Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels' personal assistant and stenographer. The minimalist documentary A GERMAN LIFE forces viewers to ask themselves what they would have done in the same situation. The result is a unique and moving personal biography of Pomsel, who died in 2017 at the age of 106.
