The Return: Life after ISIS
Baghouz was the last ISIS stronghold which was liberated in early 2019. The so-called «ISIS Wives» were interned with their children into under-resourced camps like Camp Roj, a temporary shanty town made of tents, tarps and plastic sheeting that has a tendency to tear. No countries would allow them to return to their country of origin, on the contrary they were threatened to become stateless, although some countries would allow their children to enter. The victims of the ISIS terror, the Kurds, are now the ones taking care of the women and their children as they do not accept the children to be separated with their mothers.
